Busch Gardens Williamsburg to open with two new attractions
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is ready to officially open for the 2010 season on March 26. Visitors will be greeted with not one but two all new original attractions with a definitive European flair.
Now you can fly away with Europe in the Air, an innovative high-tech simulator ride that rockets you past the continent’s most famous sights-from Stonehenge to the Eiffel Tower, over the Alps and on to the Roman Coliseum. After that adventure, you can dive into a brand new live show set in Ireland where you can join in a fun-filled celebration of Irish dance, music, songs and storytelling.
The two new attractions provide a special glimpse of Europe and the ancient culture of Ireland. Of course, you’ll also continue to enjoy the many other thrill rides, attractions, shows and special events at Busch Gardens theme park.

While today’s children are overloaded with high tech gizmos and electronic gadgets to play with, you now have a unique opportunity to see how children have been entertained over the past 300 years.
A Child’s Eye View is a special exhibit at DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum in Colonial Williamsburg, VA featuring toys from the past three centuries. The exhibit is on display now through Jan. 3, 2010.
Throughout the years, many toys have been made to represent the adult world in miniature. Dollhouses, trains, animals, vehicles and play sets give children the opportunity to imagine and arrange their own version of the grown-up world.
Visitors to the exhibition will see dollhouses that range from a four-room Philadelphia early nineteenth-century row house to a 12-foot long, multi-room house from around 1900.
There is also a special selection from a toy train collection as well as a wide variety of dolls, building blocks and toy animals.
